Our Visions Wealth Management (VWM) team regularly volunteers to support local causes in the community. According to Devin A., VWM Operations Manager, it’s a great example of how a team’s impact is even greater than the sum of its parts.
At VWM, why do we volunteer?
“It’s rewarding to volunteer, and we enjoy it! Usually, once one person says they’re going to volunteer, others jump at the opportunity to help and give back as well. Everyone contributes, making suggestions of where to donate or volunteer and getting involved in the team’s efforts.”
What organizations has the team supported?
“All kinds of groups! We’ve done collections and donated to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, CHOW, Binghamton City School District, Binghamton Humane Society, Fairview Recovery Services, American Cancer Society, Central United Methodist Church, and others. And that’s just in the last few years! We’ve also volunteered at the Animal Care Sanctuary Golf Tournament, CHOW backpack program, Salvation Army’s Christmas Bureau, and SUNY Broome’s Holiday Hamper. We also have Wealth Management teams in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and other parts of New York doing great things in their communities.”
How do you decide who to support?
“There are so many causes we care about, and it’s a true team effort! In some cases, it’s a cause that feels especially meaningful to someone on our team. In other cases, a team member serves on a volunteer board and they tap into our troops for an event they’re organizing. We do our best throughout the year to spread our impact across Broome County and the surrounding area.”

Visions Wealth Management joined the Syracuse Salvation Army’s Christmas Bureau to help local families in need.
CHOW Summer Backpack Program: Visions Wealth Management took part in packing and sorting items for the local school districts food program though CHOW, called the backpack program. Meals are provided to families to make sure they have items to feed their families when school lunches are not provided.
