Lou moved to Broome County in 2012 to attend Binghamton University for an undergraduate degree in Integrative Neuroscience with the intention of pursuing a career in medicine so he could “help people”. Unsure of which path to take, he worked locally at Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad and Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad as a paramedic to gain experience in the healthcare field for 8 years. During this time he developed an interest in finance – particularly personal finance and investing. Following this interest, he applied to Visions and worked at the Member Business Lending department while studying and passing his FINRA licensure examinations – ultimately transferring to Visions Wealth Management.
Lou now works as a Wealth Management Advisor across several branches in both Broome and Otsego. He focuses on client communication/outreach with emphasis on strengthening relationships with our current clients and facilitating the development of new relationships via referrals and community outreach. According to him, this role allows him to amalgamate the interpersonal skills developed in his previous career while implementing the values learned here at Visions to positively affect the financial health of our clients and contribute towards our mission to impact our local communities.
Despite the drastic change in career paths, Lou finds great joy and fulfilment in his opportunity to “help people” here at Visions Wealth Management. During his off time, Lou enjoys continued participation in local EMS agencies by assisting/guest lecturing in trainings/classes, spending time with friends/family, going on long walks with his dogs, travelling, and reading a good non-fiction book.
