Kevin Porter is a seasoned financial professional, having provided personalized financial advice to individuals, families, and businesses for nearly 30 years. He is a partner in the Chenango Commons Office, an advisor group of Visions Wealth Management. The Chenango Commons Office represents over 60 years of combined experience serving the community with advice and financial literacy.
Kevin specializes in developing and implementing strategies aimed toward accumulation, distribution, and preservation. Through a comprehensive financial planning approach, he creates long-term relationships with his clients by providing education regarding their financial situation and available investment options. Kevin helps his clients make sound decisions to help them pursue their financial goals.
He has been awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies™ and also the CHARTERED SRI COUNSELOR® designation from the College for Financial Planning.
Kevin was born and raised in Ithaca, NY, where he completed his education. He maintains various securities registrations, held through LPL Financial, and insurance licenses in several states. He is certified to offer the New York State Partnership for Long-Term Care Insurance.
Currently, he serves on the advisory board for the Community Impact Fund, a charitable fund supporting local causes, and is a member of the Greater Binghamton and Tioga County Chambers of Commerce. Previously, Kevin has served as Treasurer of the National Association of Life Underwriters in Ithaca.
Kevin is an avid sports fan and traveler. He enjoys golf during spring and summer months and attending Notre Dame football games in the autumn. Kevin moved to the Southern Tier in 2002 and resides in Endicott, NY.
